About Me

I’m a Producer, Mixer & Songwriter based out of Dead Door Studios in Stockport, UK. I’m a multi-instrumentalist playing Drums, Keys, Bass & Guitar. As well as an accomplished studio musician I am also an experienced live musician playing in over 20 countries around the world.

I set up Dead Door Studios to record, produce, and mix for my old band Y.O.U (Play It Again Sam Recordings). Although the studio is small in size, it has been developed and refined over a long period of time. In recent years, the primary focus has been on ensuring the studio sounds as good as possible. The studio has been treated with RPG Europe acoustic panelling, with acoustic consultation from Nick Whitaker, and now features world-class monitoring from Genelec. Beyond that, it is equipped with a carefully chosen blend of modern and vintage gear, all designed for quick use, ensuring the focus remains on creativity.

Previous clients include mixing 7 of the 8 songs for multi-platinum selling UK band Editors on ‘The Blanck Mass Sessions’ album. Production & Mixing for Millie Turner (Kobalt). Mixing two EP’s for U.S. artist Mothica. Co-writing and producing E.P. tracks/single for Alt-Pop newcomer Bad Kid. Producing & Mixing Manchester Indie band Kashmere. Mixing singles for Producer/DJ Elliott Lion (Cin Cin/Futureboogie). Mixing the ‘Tanners EP’ for New York's Tanners and mixing Dan Masters' project Healthy Bones.

More recent clients have included co-writing 3 songs on Marie Naffah’s ‘Trains EP’, the debut single & forthcoming E.P. for Jorge Wilson, Mixing Manchester band Desert Years E.P. ‘How High Then?’ and working in various capacities on the forthcoming 7th album from ‘Stockport’s answer to Talking Heads’, Dutch Uncles.

I was also the drummer in the Indie-Rock band Airship (PIAS) and played with legendary US Singer/Songwriter Daniel Johnston including for the live DVD 'The Angel & Daniel Johnston' filmed at Union Chapel, London.
